Road to Google

All roads lead to somewhere, right? But can you imagine a
road in Afghanistan or a high security post assignment at an
overseas embassy leading to jobs at Google? Well, they did and
two veterans are here to tell you the story of how they made it
happen and why!

I mean imagine, Yaser Chow a veteran of the marine corp serving
at a high security post for an overseas embassy and Rahul
Harpalani a former infantryman leading squadrons through battle
in Afghanistan--both earning roles in new disciplines at Google.
Their stories reveal their own discovery of passions founded in
their respective service to our country and ignited upon leaving
the service.

Rahul talks about how he now uses a simple three word phrase the
Army taught him:  Calmness, Teamwork and Decisiveness in his
work leading a product team at Google and surprisingly, the
parallels to being a deployed field leader in the Army.

Yaser describes how learning and understanding financial fidelity
was the key to his journey in extending his military training
into a career at Google.
