Thinking of broadcast recruiters I've dealt with over the years
and Natasha goes back one of the furthest, always has time for me
and has looked out for me too - so why not give her a call and
ask her! She agreed thankfully but had to juggle work, Christmas
and all her family being at home - but we managed to find a slot.

It was a deep dive on what hiring managers are looking for and
some tips and useful info on what you can do to stand out from
the crowd and be the best candidate for the job - even without a
long career history on your CV.

During the episode we go through some talking points:
Where did you start off, what did you do to get in?
- When did you realise you were destined for the media
industry?
- Was there any flags or paths you followed that stand out
- Who gave you your first break or role in the
industry? Moving through the industry, how
has your skillset changed?
- Have you been through freelance, full time, academic
circles
- How do you find using connections versus solo applications
- Do you have or keep up any professional
certifications? ‘Nurturing broadcast
talent and developing candidates skills’
- How important is bringing a young workforce to your clients, the
difference with recent grads and how they succeeded.
- do you get many companies who take apprentices or graduate
schemes these days?
- you must have seen many candidates develop over the years - do
you still look out for them?
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, what is yours?
- Looking back, what is a measure of success in your career?
- If you could tell your first year self now - what would it be?
