Blended Life EP. 16: Religion and Judgement In a Blended Family

In this podcast episode we talk about the #religiousstigmas and
judgements (and also that of those who we call friends) that
surround both #blendedfamilies and divorce.  People are very
quick to pass #judgment about a situation and/or people they
don't even know.  People's lives and choices are
scrutinized, when the truth is that no one truly knows what
happens behind closed doors.  We all have to answer to God
for our behaviors and choices; how we reconcile our hearts is
between our maker and us alone.  Don't allow imperfect
people cause you shame because we all live in glass houses and we
all fall short of the Glory of God (divorced or not). 
Judgemental people's ignorance and criticism is the antithesis of
how Jesus led and how we are called to lead.  We believe in
a God that is powerful enough to forgive (even divorce) and big
enough to embrace blended families.  We also believe that
churches can do better serving blended families.  There's a
real need for support, and there's an even bigger need to teach
that God needs to be the glue that keeps blended families stuck
together.  Please let us know if you belong to a church with
a support group or small group that caters to blended families;
we'd like to check it out!  And if all that wasn't enough,
we had time to answer a listener's questions in regard to dealing
with a high conflict, manipulative and two -faced 
co-parent.  The advice we give here is pretty solid.
