 Question from a listener: “The #ex wants to meet me and I
don’t think it’s necessary. My boyfriend thinks it will get her
off his back since her reasoning is “she wants to know who her
child is spending so much time with”, but I think we all know why
she wants to meet me, to size me up. What are your thoughts?
Should we meet?” Question from a listener: “I am wondering if you
can share some more insight on the #insecurities between your
spouse and their ex. My spouse feels that it is important for
everyone to open, and get along. I feel that all of it is lacking
boundaries and lacks respecting our relationship and just makes
me feel insecure. This is one of our biggest obstacles. We can't
agree on things and he thinks I'm being very stern and
unnecessary and I think that he needs to put boundaries in place,
because the line of old relationship and new relationship is kind
of blurry. What are your thoughts?” Question: How to handle when
your step child is jealous of you and your #relationship with
their parent. What can you do to help them through and support
your spouse in the process? Question: “My boyfriend’s daughter is
coming over this weekend to stay the night for one night and I
fear that he will just allow her to come sleep in our bedroom
again (against my permission and will) and I refuse to allow this
to continue any longer. How would you handle this? How do I bring
it up to him before she comes over? It obviously needs to be
discussed and handled before then.”
