Welcome to The Expat Mom Podcast!  Expat moms are
amazing.  They navigate all the normal challenges of living
and mothering while living abroad.  Studies show these
challenges often take a big toll on the emotional health of
expats.  This podcast offers some mindset shifts and
practical tools for improving emotional health and thriving
abroad.

In this episode, I share one of my first break through moments in
improving my emotional health as an expat mom when I discovered
that blaming my children’s anxiety and suffering on frequent
moving may have actually been unfounded.  I was able to see
how our expat lifestyle might actually be helping my kids’
anxiety.  I’ll share the tool that helped me see things
differently, and I’ll offer you a way to start applying this
principle right away.

What you’ll learn on this episode:

Why the thing you think is making you miserable might not be
what’s actually making you miserable

How to use your emotions as clues to help you solve problems

The science behind how the brain processes experiences

Why sometimes our perceptions are distorted

How to shift your perspective and why it matters
