On this episode, Izzy talks about a saying that was reflected in
an episode of our friends’ podcast “Meet The Simmons” that talks
about if relationships are not having conversations in the future
tense and only in past tense can be detrimental to a
relationship. May bring up red flags to both parties to see that
they are not being envisioned in a future of being together. Mike
and Izzy discuss having trust in a relationship and nourishing
the relationship by communicating what is wrong within the
relationship. It is imperative to have discussions in regard to
things that are affecting the relationship and be able to find a
remedy to fix it if the outlook for each other is to be together
for the years to come. Neither person can read minds to know
something is bothering one another, so speak up before it becomes
too late. Mike shares that man are actionable beings, saying I
love you is way different from showing how you love them, same
concept applies to just saying sorry versus showing why you are
sorry. Mike always has to show his sarcasm. Mike and Izzy share
their insights as those that use the term life-coach. Izzy
discusses that psychiatry and/or psychology are valuable
resources to help with peoples’ issues/concerns. Izzy relates
this to a scene from the hottest TV show ever “The Sopranos”.
Mike shares his biggest issue with therapists is that they never
give advice, just continue to compound the questions. Be careful
with those therapists that have personal issues, it discredits
their credibility. Mike shares his personal experience with the
Veterans Affairs dentists and how they Veteran Affairs gave up on
his therapy. It explains a lot as to why Mike is the way he is.
