On this episode, Mike talks about how additional duties in the
Air Force helped him to gain skillsets, for instance at Mike job,
he deals with a lot of administration work that the Air Force
helped him with that he can put to use in the civilian world.
Surprisingly, a lot of civilians don’t have any administration
skills such as in working with organizations, calendar invites,
or with excel. Mike shares that he will be running 2 miles on a
daily basis to help raise money for a non-profit organization
that helps veterans. Though it causes pain in his body,
especially his old man knees, the reward in helping this
non-profit is the motivation. Mike goes into detail as to the
therapy the non-profit provides for veterans. Mike and Izzy share
their insights into the road rage they experience, Mike road rage
in Texas and Izzy road rage in Florida. Floridians don’t believe
in turn signals, a lot of switching lanes are based on
assumption. Mike shares that the technique of breathing does
assist with calming the mind and reduce stressors. Also, mike
does meditation to give affirmations of what he believes of who
he is and goes take on the world. Izzy and Mike talk about the
concept of giving affirmations to the universe, but it takes
giving all your effort to bring them to fruition.
