Bihar Police Bill Explained | Creation of a Police State? | The Deshbhakt with Akash Banerjee

Unprecedented scenes were witnessed in the Bihar Assembly - as
the Nitish Kumar Govt  force-passed the New Bihar Police
Bill - that basically aims to transform the Bihar Military Police
into a sophisticated armed force with virtually no court
oversight - reporting direct to the state govt. Worst is the use
of the force to 'manage' Public Order - we all know what that
means. 


 


The Opposition RJD has opposed this tooth and nail and for good
reason - The impact of this will be seen soon on anyone trying to
raise their voice.
