The presence of God with Ben Valentine

Ryan Burnham and Kim Tingler have a conversation with Ben
Valentine, the Pastor of Trinity Church, in what happens to be
the first podcast of his career. In this episode, we hear a bit
of Ben’s spiritual journey and have a discussion about how to
hear the voice of God and be led by his Spirit. Ben shares the
story of his spiritual upbringing, his struggles with faith and
belief along the way, impactful moments that changed and
influenced his life growing up, and how he recognized God’s call
to ministry gradually over time. His life’s journey embodies the
truth that God is always speaking, but we are not always
listening. And how do we hear the voice of God? Ben talks about
starting each day by asking God what he has for us today, and by
asking the Holy Spirit to speak to us and show us. This awareness
makes it easier to recognize what God is doing and saying. Ben
discusses the many different ways we can be led by the Spirit,
and several areas of hindrance that may prevent us from hearing
