A CHAT WITH: Darrell Clarke

Having been relegated to League Two, Bristol Rovers found itself
in a non-league nightmare. Failure to bounce back at the first
time of asking would surely lead to financial ruin, and could see
the club trapped in non-league for many years to come like so
many former football league sides before us.

Step in Darrell Clarke. The man given the task to get the club
back into the football league at the first time of asking not
just succeeded, but went one better with back-to-back promotions
straight to League One.

account of those many phenomenal years in charge. From just how
