A CHAT WITH: Phil 'Percy' Purnell

Caz is joined by Bristol Rovers legend Phil 'Percy' Purnell in a
special throwback 'A Chat With' episode.

From supporting Rovers at a young age on the Eastville terraces,
to scoring - not one - but TWO of the most important goals in
Bristol Rovers' history.

Phil touches on the moment he kept us up by scoring the only goal
in a 1-0 win over Newport, beating Bristol City 3-0 to secure
promotion AND that all important goal in the 3-0 win over
Blackpool to beat our rivals to the title. Phil discusses the
5,000+ Gasheads who travelled with them to Bloomfield Road and
the role they played in the promotion season.

We also discuss his relationship with his team-mates, The Tote
End, the move from Eastville and what it was like to be a
professional footballer in the 80s & 90s compared to present
day.

Finally, we talk about the career-ending leg break and what that
then meant for Phil's life going forward.
