In the first century slavery was part of the approved social
order. A hierarchical system devised by humanity to keep the rich
rich and the poor poor. The world systems of injustice,
hierarchy, social classes and inequality are in direct opposition
to the heart of God and His kingdom. Inequality has no place in
God’s kingdom. So as we come to the text today let us listen to
the heartbeat of God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ through a
personal, intimate letter written by the Apostle Paul to his
