Birthday tings

Birthdays are an incredible milestone. The concepts of
birthdays has changed dramatically as we have become adults. We
investigate this evolution and discuss how birthdays in adulthood
carry such a different meaning. Children love a good surprise and
gifts, and of course, those are 2 things you get on your birthday
as a child. Also, children tend to have parties that are
exciting, lots of fun and their friends and family are all
invited. I think as an adult a little bit of that shine rubs off
unless you're talking about a BIG birthday such as 21, 40, 60,
etc. Some adults live alone with limited friends and family so be
default the excitement is less, the parties are smaller and the
gifts are fewer
