Ep 02: Musician jly (aka Jaclyn Yangyuen) on Taking a Year Off from Engineering to Write Music and Tour

Rocket scientist by day, and musician by night, jly (also known
as Jaclyn Yangyuen) decided to quit her 9-5 job in engineering
and move halfway across the country to work on her music. In this
episode, Jaclyn shares how heartbreak led her to take this
remarkable leap and move in with her brother and his fiancée in
Ohio and drive several hours each way to attend weekly
songwriting sessions in Nashville, Tennessee. Within a year, she
released an EP, did a celebration tour, joined an a capella
group, and moved back to Los Angeles to continue her songwriting
journey while working full-time in engineering.
