From Community College to UCSD: A Transfer Student Perspective with Dalila González Mejía

Growing up in Gilroy, California, Dalila González Mejía knew she
wanted to pursue higher education but didn't know how the process
worked. After high school, she attended a community college and
signed up for a transfer agreement program that would guarantee her
a spot at UC San Diego. Once she arrived, she hit the ground
running - getting involved with campus organizations, finding
mentors, and participating in research projects. She shares her
story including the importance of self care and advice for those
