first female directed double feature. Up first we have the
sleeper hit and meditation on the horrors of motherhood: The
Babadook (dir. Jennifer Kent). After that we have the
coming-of-age film set in Sac Town Lady Bird (dir. Greta Gerwig).

the other female director's nominated were Lina Wertmuller, Jane
Campion, Sofia Coppola, Kathryn Bigalow. (although Lina
Wertmuller was nominated for Seven Beauties. He also knows he
