With the release of the new Super Mario Bros. Movie, we go back
to the first attempt to turn the video game plumber into a
feature film. 1993's Super Mario Bros., from the Disney-owned
Hollywood Pictures, was a radical departure from the source
material. Is this movie a warp zone to success, or is this film's
princess in another castle?
