Revelation of Sound is pleased to present the next guest talented
DJ from Cape Town, South Africa JanuaryOne.
When the music does the talking through precise song selection not
requiring much of a vocal backing... JanuaryOne’s sharp percussions
frame the warm bass lines that add the signature bit of melancholia
to his sets be it under the open sky at Afrikaburn, on the dusty
grounds of the townships or the clubs and bars of the Mother
City.
Far away from his homeland Germany JanuaryOne established himself
as one of Cape Town’s most in-demand DJs with residencies at highly
acclaimed establishments like Asoka, Grand Africa, Jade and
Orphanage.
Guest appearances across the country have seen him on club and
festival lineups alongside local and international greats of House
Music... Weiss (UK), Hot Chip (UK), Superflu (GER) Ryan Murgatroyd
and Goldfish (RSA) to name but a few have shared the decks with
JanuaryOne.
Artistically evolving naturally over the years the #TANZMUSIK sound
of JanuaryOne has constantly progressed into a deeper and less
obvious approach on House Music, having audiences curiously
awaiting his sets in Southern Africa and on his regular visits back
home to Europe.
