ABOUT DOUG "COSMO" CLIFFORD: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee
Doug "Cosmo" Clifford is best known as a founding member and
drummer for Creedence Clearwater Revival and also currently is in
Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Clifford, along with Stu Cook and
the Fogerty brothers (John and Tom) grew up in El Cerrito,
California.   CCR's music is a staple of American pop
culture and the group has sold nearly 30 million records in the
U.S. alone. Their 1976 Greatest Hits album is still on the
Billboard 200 album chart and reached the 500-week mark in December
of 2020. It has been awarded 10x Platinum and CCR was ranked the
82nd Greatest Artists of all Time by Rolling Stone Magazine. The
group performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, performed at Woodstock and
has had their songs be the backdrop in movies, TV and major pop
culture medias over the decades. Their music is
