Episode #20 - Wacken - Part 1

This week's episode is Night Demon at Wacken part 1, and is
devoted to the lead-up to Night Demon's historic performance at
the fabled Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany on August 4,
2018.  You'll hear background about the history and
importance of the W:O:A Festival to heavy metal, and why it is
referred to as "Holy Ground."  The band and others talk
about the significance to Night Demon of performing there, and
why Wacken is a rite of passage for any metal band or fan. 
The guys run through the festivals and gigs they performed in
summer 2018 prior to Wacken, and offer a glimpse behind the
curtain at the logistics of the check-in process and the
backstage accommodations.  There's a hilarious vignette
about the Night Demon van being stopped by the German police en
route to the festival, which culminated in a classic promo video
shared on Night Demon's social media at the time. This episode
carries you right up to the moment when the intro tape begins to
roll and the band prepares to hit the vaunted Wacken stage in
front of 10,000 metal maniacs on Holy Ground.
