Originally a Venom cover band, Sweden's Gehennah decided to create
their own original material instead. Although active during the
early 1990s, Gehennah didn't release any new material between 1997

Rituals (2016) Greece's Rotting Christ originally started in 1987
with a grindcore influence. Since then, they entered a brief gothic
metal phase before settling into a more straightforward black metal

convention to the wind, Mexico's Acrania seamlessly mix death metal
with samba and Mexican tribal music to create a sound unlike

Metal Valhalla: Kreator : Extreme Aggression (1989) One of the Big
Four of Teutonic Thrash, Kreator have experimented heavily with
their sound over their many years. Extreme Aggression finds them at
the cusp of toying with death metal elements while still
