Episode #14 - Dave Thorson (former DeLaSalle head coach and current Colorado St. asst.)

He may not be in Minnesota anymore but for this conversation it
felt like it as Matt is joined by former DeLaSalle boys head
coach and current Colorado St. men's basketball assistant coach -
Dave Thorson.  Also, joining for this episode is Jeff
Munneke.  Coach Thorson will always have ties to Minnesota
as he led DeLaSalle High School to an amazing 9 state
championships, including six straight class 3A titles from 2012 -
2017.  We are able to connect with Dave to hear how things
are going in his new home in Fort Collins, CO as he is now a part
of the staff of Niko Medved and the Rams men's basketball
team.  We learn how Coach Thorson got his start in coaching
and the many camps he worked.  His early break was working
for Coach Clem Haskins as an assistant at the University of
Minnesota.  Coach Thorson also reminisces about his
successful 20+ year stint with DeLaSalle as well as naming his
"all-time" great team of Islanders.  Jeff and Dave also
share how the Timberwolves Shootout started from a conversation
with the two of them and the first "big" matchup.  Enjoy
