Tonight we interview the genius behind Father and Son.
Tanya Manning-Yarde, PhD, is the Fiction and Creative Non-Fiction
Editor for Raising Mothers. She is a freelance editor and writer,
as well as an aspiring children's book author and photographer.
She has worked as an editor, contributing writer, and blogger
since graduating from Rutgers and the University of Albany.
Before becoming a writer, she worked as a high school
English/Language Arts teacher, assistant professor, instructional
coach, and educational consultant. Her work has appeared in
publications such as Raising Mothers, The Huffington Post, Bronze
Magazine, Calmgrove, Literary Mama, Memoryhouse, Neworld Review,
and Random Sample Review. Every Watering Word, her first poetry
collection, was published by Wasteland Press (2017). She has
written several children's book manuscripts as well as a
middle-grade novel with ethnically diverse and neurodiverse main
characters.
