When we read in Revelation 1:6 that Jesus "hath made us kings and
priests unto God and his Father," we do not really believe it.
Not in the sense that we catch the reality and truth of it. We
have never really spiritually perceived it and taken it in. We
have heard it and then go on our way. The book of Revelation
begins right away with beauty and ends in spectacular, eternal
glories.  Our lives as Christians is transient. The Psalmist
speaks of the the blessing of "the man whose heart is set on
pilgrimage," he does not see his life on earth as permanent. He
knows he is traveling from one world to another world. Psalm
84:5. 


Those whose hearts are set on their pilgrimage to the other
world, live their lives in this world preparing for the endless
life in the other one. Since we are set one day to take on the
roles of "kings and priests" then what we are here, will
determine what are here and now. And everything we do during our
lives has great purpose and weight.  When you take to heart
this glorious truth and do nothing about it, there will be great
irrevocable loss. Kings on earth prepare their sons and daughters
to obtain their earthly thrones. Great care is taken to get them
ready to rule and reign. Knowing this truth, there is a great
responsibility on our parts to agree with the Holy Spirit to
educate us, prepare us and teach us during the "days of our
flesh." So that we will reign with Jesus Christ in His throne,
overcoming as He overcame..."world without end."
