The benefit of history is that it repeats itself. We see the
Hebrew slaves chased through the Red Sea until the last sole of
the foot of the last Hebrew person was lifted out of it. We see
the end of this church age much the same way. Satan will fight to
the bitter end with the true believers of Jesus Christ. And this
fight is real and it is increasing with violent intensity. Lately
there has been a steady increase of evil leveled against the
people of God more so than ever before. I believe it is for the
same reason. Satan is going to fight the believers until the day
we are taken out of here in the Rapture of the body of
Christ. 


Just as "the devil disputed about the body of Moses," he is
currently disputing our departure. Literally right before the
Second Coming of Jesus Christ, when Jerusalem is surrounded by
Antichrist armies there will be a few men left in the city.
 In Zechariah 12:8-9 it reads, "In that day shall the Lord
defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among
them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall
be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. And it shall
come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the
nations that come against Jerusalem."  


Those few men left in that city according to this passage will
fight in hand to hand combat against these invading forces. In
this epic future battle, God will give them the great and mighty
anointed power as that as King David, who tore apart a bear, and
tore the beard of a lion and killed them. And then He will "pour
upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
the spirit of grace and of supplications..." We see history in
the background and in the foreground already written. God has not
brought us to this point in time to be swallowed up by the enemy
and his malevolent forces. No way, quite the contrary. He brought
us this far to see His great power in our lives, and the lives of
our families, friends and all those around us. Remember Satan
works for time, for he knows his time is short, but God works for
eternity. Through death to life, through defeat to triumph,
through suffering to joy, is God's way. "Father, may You
build Your Son’s Body, destroy Your Son’s enemy, and hasten the
