This morning I felt such a strong direction to talk about prayer.
Prayer is the most precious yet crucial thing given to us from
God. There are many who pray with ease, while there are others
who struggle though it all their lives. There are all kinds of
prayers prayed for people, for illness, spiritual warfare. The
list is literally endless.  


Prayer is vast and can become confusing for people. They listen
to how others pray and think that is how they must sound. There
are some that purchase books on how to pray. There are some that
feel that they are not qualified to pray, so they pray prayers
written out for them and repeat them. They think that in doing so
God will then hear them. There are many that feel that they sound
dumb when they pray, and some that are convinced that God does
not answer prayers because they do not say say the right things.
Others that never feel to pray for themselves because they think
they are not worth it.   


That unbelief bleeds over unto other things in their lives they
want prayer for but go away in a pre-defeated mal-acceptance. So
they are ever enlisting the prayer help of everyone around them.
They never go to God themselves. There comes a time when each one
of us must break from the pack, and go to the Lord alone. Not
always with a check off list or dry, dead prayers of unbelief. It
is better not to pray at all. Like Blind Bartemaeus who threw off
his beggars cloke and ran to Jesus. Their unbelief is something
like that cloak. They choose to rather wear it instead of getting
rid of it.  God wants to hear from you, in your own voice.
He wants you to trust Him to release the deepest issues of your
heart. 


Prayer is and must be that of the heart. YOUR heart. Do not be
afraid to lift up your own self to the Lord in faithful assurance
that He really does care, and really will answer you.  Also,
never let the devil discourage you to go and talk to your God.
You have the power to rise up and go to Him any time you like.
Really, nothing can stop you. Jesus word stands: "As many as
cometh unto Him He will not cast out." That is the whole of the
matter. Prayer is for answer and answer is for prayer. Jesus said
to all, "Pray without ceasing."

for today is bread enough. Bread given for today is the strongest
sort of pledge that there will be bread tomorrow. Victory today
is the assurance of victory tomorrow. Our prayers need to be
focused upon the present. We must trust God today, and leave the
morrow entirely with Him. The present is ours; the future belongs
to God. Prayer is the task and duty of each recurring day --
