Have you ever been mocked for your faith? If you have then you
know how disarming it is, and how it stuns you. It is one of
Satan's sharpest weapons against the faithful in Christ. It is
meant to shame you into retreat. It does not stop there. The
enemy goes on crushing you down for days onward. Mocking is
always empowered by evil spirits and sin within people. 


The person who is mocked goes away wounded. It is really a thing
of rejection. So it strikes at the core of the person. It is
soul-wounding. It is meant to chase the believer off the
battlefield and never to return. Once that believer is mocked the
enemy then overtakes them further by attacking their minds. 


Overwhelming them by replaying that cutting moment over again and
again. Those spirits go on attacking the believer's mind telling
them they blew it. That they should never try again. That they
really are not valuable to the Lord. They believe those lies and
retreat into the what they think are the "safe shadows."  


The spirit of mocking is a demonic weapon also meant to shut up
the believer. The believer feels as they are going around with a
lead-weight coat of shame. They feel they have let the Lord down.
This is not the case. In fact, Jesus was mocked more than anyone.
Even on the His cross the mockers mocked with utmost cruelty and
He took that upon Himself too for you and me. People in the first
century had "trials of cruel mocking." The writer of Hebrews
said, "the world was not worthy of them."


Do not fear if you are being mocked. The Light that is shining in
you and out of you is upsetting the powers of darkness in the
people around you. At the same time, God is "putting a difference
between those who serve Him and those who do not." Stand tall,
and do not fear that weapon of mockery. Be valiant and strong for
the Lord. It is a sign that Christ is very much alive in you. It
is really Satan mocking "Christ in you," and you are feeling it.
I pray the Lord give you "hinds feet to get up upon His high
places," and you stand in power and glory with Him now and in the
world to come.
