This morning I was thinking about the thief on the cross. A man
who hung right next to the One who came to save. I would assume
that man had no one, no family, no friend. He hung there alone
and dying. Right before his death, his eyes were opened by the
Holy Spirit to see that the man dying next to him was his
Messiah. 


"He said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy
kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today
shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth
hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth
hour." Luke 23:42-43.   


I feel so strongly in today's message that the Lord wants me to
over emphasize that He is with us, He is with you. I cannot begin
to put it into words, but it is what He wants you to know today.
I felt the power of this message increase as I was preparing. I
have a firm conviction of it, and know I have His heart on this.
He knows many of you are worn out, and are losing ground on
believing Jesus is with you. For this is very much a time of
"darkness over all the earth."  


Jesus told the thief, "Today...." And we saw that day Jesus was
with him in that worst possible circumstance. He was with that
man going through the same death, and today, both are with each
other in eternal glory, the endless "Perfect Day." Do not fear
what is coming around the corner, or what is might happen
tomorrow. No matter what you are facing or fearing, Jesus is with
you today. He will be with you tomorrow and all the days of your
life. 


He is with you and He wants you to rest in His love knowing this
is an irrefutable, comforting truth. Nothing and nobody can ever
separate you from Him and His love for you. No power of hell, no
scheme of man. Never.  I believe that is something very
strongly in His heart that He wants you to know for sure today.
You can rely on His everlasting words, "Lo, I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:20.  Rest in His
love today and evermore. Let His peace roll over you....
