There was a time in my life I was feeling really low. Life was so
very hard for me back then. I would always turn to the scriptures
for comfort and relief. One day I came across a scripture I had
read over and over for years. But at this one moment in time, it
was as if it were written in blazing light just for me.
 Proverbs 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining
light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."  


I knew in that moment that word was given to me from Jesus. I
realized that He was telling me I was on a sure path, though
rough, but having promise of ever-increasing light. I saw that it
has an end that has no ending. I saw it in three parts. Since
then that word has reminded me about this "path of life," that as
long as I am journeying on it, will be with growth throughout the
my days. But in that growth, He would be perfecting His love in
me His graces of love, of mercy, of joy, forgiveness, patience,
meekness, goodness and more.   


As a young woman I understood that that light could only be in
reference to the word of God lived out in me. The going to the
word and doing what He told me to do in it. I saw another verse,
"Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in
heart." Psalm 97:11.  And, "With thee is the fountain of
life, in thy light shall we see light." Psalm 36:9.  


With the Lord is only increase, and the "brighter and brighter."
I saw that we all "increase with the increase of God." Everything
about God enlarges, grows, expands, reaches and stretches
eternally. "Of the increase of his government and peace there
shall be no end."   It says in Isaiah 55:11: "So shall
my word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return
unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it
shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."   


I saw that His word has been spoken, and it will accomplish His
good pleasure, and prosper in the things He has sent it. In Psalm
147:15 it reads,"He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his
word runneth very swiftly." 


You see His word must always be your light. The path you are on
must be understood that it is a shining one, a holy one, a safe
one. Make it your determination and aim to keep on it by
faithfully abiding daily in His written word of Light. Christ is
your Light. Trust Him to see you all the way home to heaven. His
word will lighten your path making sure you get there in great
victory. Where you will see all the saints and Christ "face to
face," and go on into everlasting joy with crowns on your head
while you rejoice with great rejoicing and unspeakable glory.
