I woke up yesterday morning with something within me that was
powerful and solid. It was in the deepest part of myself. I
recognized it to be from God, from the Holy Spirit. Early in the
morning I inquired of the Lord about it in prayer, but there was
no answer. I have felt this before many times. I knew that it was
there because something was going to happen that day though, I
had no idea what it would be. I have been around a long time in
the Lord, and am certain it was the unction of the Holy Spirit.
  


Shortly afterwards I felt impelled to go visit my mother at the
nursing home very early. I did not want to wait until the
afternoon to see her when I typically visit.   When I
got there she was not among the others which she would typically
be. Instead, she was in her bed, and I peaked in and saw her very
downcast face. A look of dark sadness and loneliness was upon
her.  


When I began talking with her, that power from within increased,
and I felt the Holy Spirit break out from myself, and I felt His
power flowing  through me touching her. I felt His very
Person in a way that I can in no way describe. If I could I would
say it was the "power of [His] endless life."  The whole
room filled up with His Presence and power. Her darkened face
became glowing in the light from the other world. She told me
before I got there that she was having a very bad morning,
feeling that she did not want to live anymore.   


She wept with tears and was full of joy as the loving power of
the endless life of God continued to pour through her. It was if
I could see Jesus Himself  there visiting her personally by
His Spirit, ministering to her.  You see, this unction is
what has been given to all of us. "For ye have an unction from
the Holy One, that ye may know all things." 1 John 2:20.  


When we walk with the "stride of faith" everywhere we go. We obey
the unction of the Holy Spirit, which is knowledge of His will in
truth. Unction is also considered by the Greek writers to be "a
healing salve, a balm or ointment to bring relief." The unction
is the life of the Holy Spirit in you, walking in you, living in
you in all that God is, through you.

chaff, only the good seed will remain; it will never be slain,
never to come to life again; the soul will bloom as perfect as a
