We are towards the end of December and Christmas is around the
corner. Every December the word "peace" is spoken of mostly
because of the verse in the Bible that reads: "... a multitude of
the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."  Yet
this is the time when there is no peace more than any time of the
whole year. 


This season brings out the worst emotions, awful memories and
feelings of intense pain. Actually it is all year long that
everyone is seeking for "peace IN earth," not realizing the
"peace on earth" is from the Prince of Peace IN heaven.
  


Jesus gave us a parting gift before He died. He said, "Peace I
leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither
let it be afraid." John 14:27. So technically there is no peace
on earth, but peace in us that are in the earth until He returns
again. Then there will be perfect peace on earth during the
Millennial Kingdom, until then He did promise us peace and has
given it to us through His life.


There is the peace with God, the peace in God, and the peace of
God. Jesus is the God of Peace, Prince of Peace, King of Peace,
that gives supernatural peace. It might seem impossible for you
to have peace. This is true. It cannot come from you, or this
earth. Your peace IS in and with Jesus Christ. Jesus IS your
peace. There are many reasons people do not have peace and one of
the greatest reasons is unforgiveness. 


Take the time to forgive, get rid of the darkness of it that has
blocked the light of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will give you the
power to forgive, then when you do, it will be though His life in
you. Then the light will break forth upon you and in you. The
dark clouds above you will grow thin, and a new day of freedom
will happen.   He would not have told us to forgive if
it were impossible. And what is impossible for you is not
impossible with God. So it is not impossible to forgive.
 What you cannot do He will do for you for His namesake.
