I have a vivid memory from my youth of a steep switchback trail
that led from the beach to the top of a high hill. Every now and
then my friend would tell me to stop and turn around to see the
expanding view of that great ocean and skies. When we got to the
top the view was vast and breathtaking.


It was not easy getting up those switchbacks. There were times I
felt I could not make it, but my friend would encourage me by
having me stop and look again, to gain confidence and to go
again. She was before me going up so I would place each one of my
feet in her footsteps because I knew she knew the safe way. Jesus
always prepares our way by going before us.


Our future is in His hands. Ours is to trust Him and stay in His
word and in prayer. In Psalm 85:13 it says, "Righteousness shall
go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps."


Never fear what the world fears. You are not of this world but of
the "Other World." Jesus is leading you and is already in the
days ahead where He will meet you there. Keep in His footsteps.
His way is sure and safe now and always."
