I was finishing the final chapter of Nehemiah and saw something
that held my attention. He was the one who wrote this account and
spoke of everything first hand.

He was told by a few men from the captivity that the walls and
gates of Jerusalem were destroyed. He was devastated. He writes
about the treachery of evil men and their threats, and what it
took to rebuild the walls and gates of the temple.

Yet at the end, the final chapter, Nehemiah returns to visit the
temple, the people and priests and all of them had grossly
rebelled except a few men who were over the treasury.

Throughout that final chapter Nehemiah has three short interval
prayers asking God to remember him. He had one short prayer
asking God to "Remember them because they have defiled the
priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the
Levites."

His final words were, "O God, Remember me for good."

It is necessary at times to ask God to remember you. When you
have done all that you can to the sincerest of your heart and
ability.

When you are at your end turn to Him and say, "Lord, remember me,
visit me!" Many people in the Bible prayed that prayer and God
answered them. He will answer you.

not be afraid." ~ George MacDonald
