have been having trouble with the link so just go straight to
https://www.bitchute.com/ and typing "Joanie Stahls Field Notes"
in the search bar. Thank you. Over the past few months in reading
the word I kept coming across certain people that rejected gifts
given to them by great kings.

They said no to offers of positions of high honor, titles, wealth
and prestige. They refused even little offers of blessings in
return for their help. When Daniel was first brought before the
great King Nebuchadnezzar he was very young. He was most likely
20 years old or younger according to most scholars.

The king had a dream that greatly troubled him one night. He
could not get his court of Chaldeans, astrologers, soothsayers
and magicians to interpret a dream he refused to share with them.
However, Daniel was able to interpret it and King Nebuchadnezzar
was in awe of the God of Daniel.

He "gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole
province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise
men of Babylon." But when Daniel was very old he rejected King
Belshazzar's offer to "be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain
of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the
kingdom." Daniel answered the king: "Let thy gifts be to thyself,
and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto
the king, and make known to him the interpretation." You see by
the time he grew very old he had no interest at all in those
empty, perishing things, because he had one consuming thirst that
this world could never offer.

There are many gifts the world and the enemy want to offer to
you. But those scarlet robes, gold chains, and high titles only
serve to imprison you. They are not meant for the servants of
Jesus Christ. Shun them, they only take the place of the real
gifts that will enter into your eternal life. "Godliness with
contentment is great gain." 1 Timothy 6:6. "What is the secret to
great living? Entire separation to Christ and devotion to Him.
Thus speaks every man and woman whose life has made more than a
passing flicker in the spiritual realm. It is the life that has
no time for trifling that counts." ~ Amy Carmichael
