This July has become what most of us have been expecting. So far
it has outdone what we could have ever imagined and from this
point on it will only become darker and more evil.


People of this nation want answers and hope. They are largely
seeking it from man. But there is no hope like the hope that
Jesus Christ gives.


Jesus is not only the Hope of Israel, but the hope of all
believers. Even as believers we hope in Christ for those who are
not yet believers. His hope is power for God "delights in those
that hope in Him.


"In Lamentations 4:17 it reads, "As for us, our eyes as yet
failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a
nation that could not save us."


Israel forgot God and put their trust in kings and princes and
their final end was a brutal, ruthless and long captivity.


These words are an echo from long ago that will be said again in
the days to come verbatim no matter who is in power. Jesus Christ
is our only hope and salvation.


We are never as the people of God commanded to hope in man or
government, it is quite the opposite. We are to hope only in God
and the government of Heaven. Jesus Christ is "the hope that doth
not disappoint."


Stop looking in the wrong direction for vain help, in watching
for a nation that cannot save. Fix your eyes on the eternal, the
Holy One of God Jesus Christ who is YOUR hope.


Lay all your hope on Him and you will never be disappointed,
though you live in a nation given over to flashy, godless
political altars.


"God cannot hear the prayers on our lips often because the
desires of our heart after the world cry out to Him much more
strongly and loudly than the our desires for Him."
