#073: Patricia Velasquez - Fear & Purpose

Patricia Velásquez is an award-winning actress, history making
super model, philanthropist, activist and author. You might
remember her from the Mummy, The Mummy Returns and The Curse of
La Llorona. She’s also been in The L Word, Arrested Development,
CSI: Miami, Ugly Betty, Rescue Me, Liz in September, Zapata, Mind
Hunters, Little Heroes, School of the Americas and she’s in the
Shadow of the Tomb Raider video game.


For those who love fashion she’s also been in ads for Chanel,
Fendi, Chloe, Dolce and Gabbana, Cover Girl, Victoria’s Secret
plus many more, and has also appeared in Oprah and Ford Models
“Supermodel of the World” contest and been on covers such as
Vogue, Bazaar, Sports Illustrated, and Marie Claire and have also
done a TED talk!


She has her own autobiography entitled, “Straight Walk: A
Supermodel’s Journey to Finding her Truth”.


We talk about being a loner/ outsider, embracing your
differences, creating paths for others, coming out, victim
mentality and ego, the truth, doing what you love, perceptions
