Dirk Blocker is an actor and author best known for his work in
television and film, with his most recognised role as Detective
Hitchcock in NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine where he starred in over
150 episodes.
Dirk’s earliest role of note was as Abel Mckay on Little House on
the Prairie. His first series regular role was on Blacksheep
Squadron, another successful NBC series. Later, his film work
included, The Border, Poltergeist and Starman, while also
appearing on such classic tv series as: MASH, Newhart, 21 Jump
Street, Matlock, The X-Files ER, and Deadwood.
Dirk recently wrote and published the illustrated fable, 'Master
and the Little Monk'.
We chat about celebrity death hoaxes, taking a break and going to
college in his 40’s, losing his father at young age, mentors and
teachers, vulnerability, change, teaching, flow and his book.
