In December of 1872, a merchant ship was discovered floating
aimlessly about in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, with its crew
nowhere to be found. There was no sign of foul play, nor were there
any clues at all as to why exactly the crew abandoned their ship
and, to this day, it remains one of the most fascinating mysteries
of the high seas.   This week we tell the story of Mary
