This seems like the closest pair of preliminary finals the NRL
has had in a fair while with both matches showcasing teams who
have similar strengths and weaknesses. Melbourne vs. Canberra on
Friday night shapes as a brutal battle in the middle of the park
with the ruck battle going a long way to settling the result. On
the other hand, Saturday nights games between Penrith and South
Sydney has a point scoring frenzy written all over it. 


The Roosters drop a bombshell by telling Kyle Flanagan he is not
in their future plans, while two of his teammates are called into
QLD Origin camp. Finally could an injury scare for NSW come any
way to evening what is shaping as a David and Goliath Origin
