back to NOCLIP! This week we're going to be talking about
Super Mario RPG, Square's take on the Mario franchise and the first
RPG to carry Mario's name. Square handling a Nintendo RPG seems
like a natural fit, and their touch is noticeable here. However,
Nintendo's influence can be seen as well, and a lot of the "Mario"
elements are the things that make the game feel unique. We're going
to talk about the evolution of the RPG, tedium in combat and
