In this episode we talk to Robbie - the other co-owner of the
studio where we practice and teach. He shares with us how his
spiritual practice is more than yoga and how he contemplates that
"something bigger" that inspires you, whether you call it God,
the Universe or something else. He thinks yoga practice should be
playful, but also have some discipline. We talk about having a
calling, or otherwise, and how we're all special, but we're
not...

Half of the job of yoga is letting go, something we have not yet
learned in the "West". Why wait until the ultimate obligation to
let go (death) when you can learn how to do it well now? We also
talk about whether, and how far, yoga should be "pure". This
somehow leads to a mention of The Osmonds, the Mormon singing
family of the 1970s, as well as goats! As he gets older, Robbie
is less sure about things and that's not bad. And to break the
rules you need to know the rules.

Oréo the dog makes his biggest contributions yet: pad, pad,
padding around on the wooden floor, "shaking it off" frequently
and barking at a cat who is taunting him in the courtyard of the
yoga centre.
