The Architect and the Weatherman

Jesus challenges us to apply His teachings.
The warning of imminent storms and coming judgment is motivation
for reflection.
We know that good works will not save us, but they are a
barometer of our spiritual health.
Foundations are costly. Jesus paid the price that allows Him to
be our Rock. It costs us to follow Jesus and apply His
teachings.
The passage from Luke comes on the heels of his sermon on the
plain.
Foundation building includes fleeing from sin and pursuing
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and
gentleness. 
We are to take ahold on eternal life which leads to real life!
