A Greater Promise

Key Points





The elementary principles listed appear at first to be something
to not leave, but they are all related to the Old Covenant. 


Impossible is a strong word, especially as it relates to being
restored from falling away. There is a distinction between
falling and falling away. Falling away is more than falling into
sin. Falling away is to deviate from the truth of salvation
through Christ.


To apply this to ourselves: we are to be sternly warned not to
deviate or fall away from the truth.


God desires us to mature and the evidence of this is fruit.


God does not overlook our works of righteousness.


God’s promises are secure and proven out over time if we
patiently endure.


We have a hope that is an anchor for our souls. This anchor keeps
us holding on to the promises of God and to not fall away during
difficult times.
