The people had to camp next to the flooded Jordon for three days
to take in the magnitude of the obstacle.


Passing over the Jordan required more faith than the Israelites
needed 40 years prior when they walked across the Red Sea. This
time they weren’t running from trouble; they were walking into
trouble. This required Faith! 


Passing by the priests and the Ark in the dry riverbank made a
lasting impression on those who crossed.


Memorial stones were placed for generations to remember the
faithfulness of God.


God wants us to remember times in our past when He delivered us
through trials.


Memorials help us to remember to have faith when faced with new
trials.
