Don't Settle With The Devil

Key Points





An alliance is formed with five kings to come against Israel, but
the people of Gibeon decide to use some trickery to save
themselves.


The Gibeonites deceived Joshua into thinking they were from a
foreign land and Joshua, unaware, made peace with his enemy.


One small verse in the middle of this chapter made a big
difference: they failed to ask counsel from the Lord.


Our adversary, the devil, is very crafty and deceives us into
believing his lies.


The devil’s deception can lead us to discouragement, despair,
disillusionment, and defeat.


Many of us settle with the devil’s lies and blame ourselves.


The lies of the devil often hold us hostage, keeping us from
growing in Christ.


We are to be on guard and not be outwitted by Satan and his
schemes.


When lies become exposed, it is important to backfill them with
the truth.


Always remember, our adversary has more power than us, but never
more than what God can give us!
