Scott Cluthe interviews Dr. Ridha Arem, author of The Thyroid
Solution Diet. Dr. Ridha Arem is currently running the Texas
Thyroid Institute, an endocrinology practice specializing in
thyroid and hormonal disorders and weight loss at the Texas Medical
Center in Houston, TX. He is the author of the Thyroid Solution ,
published for the first time in 1999, which provides a
comprehensive mind body program for thyroid patients and is now
available in English and Spanish. A second revision of this book
was released in 2007. He is also the author of an upcoming diet
book detailing a comprehensive weight loss program, called the
Thyroid Solution Diet. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine
at Baylor College of Medicine Houston, TX. From 1983 to 2001, he
was a full time faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston, TX. During this time he was the Chief of Endocrinology at
Ben Taub General Hospital, a major teaching hospital affiliated
with Baylor College of Medicine, and the Medical Director at the
endocrine laboratory at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
