Small businesses in Ontario can finally get rent relief from their landlords

This morning, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled the new
Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance Program, providing
some relief to small businesses. On the heels of the
announcement, Ontario indicated that they would be providing
millions to the plan as well. This comes as welcome news, but is
it enough? Before the program was in place, Toronto city
councillor Paula Fletcher warned that if help didn't come, soon,
more than half of businesses on our main streets would have to
close permanently.
