queer barber/owner behind Camera Ready Kutz in Brooklyn. Gemm was
looking for a more inclusive barbershop experience, and found the
Crown Heights, first-of-its-kind, energetically thoughtful space
that Khane has created that throws stereotypes right out the
window. Together with her team, she’s making a hugely positive
impact on the community and having a lot of fun doing it. You

More About Khane:
Khane is a Trinidad born, New York raised Black, Female, Queer
Master Barber and Barber Instructor. Her barbershop, Camera Ready
Kutz, Inc. is located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn
and is geared towards, but not exclusive to, the LGBTQIA+
community. Khane has been serving the community as a Master
Barber since 2007 and also cuts hair for the TV, film and theater
industries.
