Jane Austen: Creating Strong Female Leads

Jane Austen started writing at age eleven and went on to publish
four novels during her lifetime. She created female characters
who courageously challenge the caste system, condemn slavery, and
long for independence.

Her novels have since sold more than one hundred million copies
and were adapted into successful feature films and theatrical
productions.
