Boys Vs. Girls: The Societal Stereotypes Of Toys, Gifts, and Clothing

Morgen and Trisha touch on the societal stereotypes we feel our
children are pushed into. When shopping, the girls' section is
all pinks and purples with flowers, ballerinas, and what is
deemed feminine. The boys' section is all blues and greens with
trucks, Dinosaurs, and superheroes. The same goes for the toys
the kids are given. Girls are expected to play with dolls and
have tea parties while the boys are given trucks and robots. The
societal norms are more than just gift-givers going with social
influences; it starts at the stores we buy from. As mama's with
girls, Morgen & Trisha want Charlie & Remi to be
empowered and not too influenced by societal stereotypes on what
is considered feminine or masculine. The same goes for Auggie
when he gets older.

Listen in and weigh in on your thoughts. Also, would you shop at
the store Trisha has in mind of creating?! Contact us
